 DAILY MASS INTENTIONS – We can use Masses for Daily & Weekend Mass Intentions, if you wish to have a Mass celebrated, stipends are $10.00.  The Mass could be for a non Catholic friend, special intentions for someone, etc.

 

R. C. I. A. PROCESS– The group meets on Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. Our March 10 meeting will be on Medical Ethics/Social Justice & Concerns. Any parish member, who would like to attend the sessions, is welcome to come and learn or just make the inquirers feel welcome in the community.

 

RECONCILIATION – SATURDAY at 4:00 – 4:30 p.m.  or call the church office for an appointment.

PARISH PENANCE SERVICE for Lent.  March 8 at 7:00 p.m.

 

CHOIR REHEARSAL TIME – Junior Choir – we meet on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. and then on Sunday, right after the Mass, in the choir loft. ADULTS meet on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.  We welcome everyone, from 7th grade and older. WE ARE WORKING ON EASTER REHEARSALS ARE IMPORTANT!

 

PRAYER FOR OTHERS - If you have permission and wish to put a friend, loved one, etc. on the prayer list or the prayer chain you should call Raymond Haley at 477-1747. You may give the name only or as much information as you wish. If you want the Name in the bulletin call Mary E at the office. The office should be notified for parish members so Father Steve gets the information also. We are praying for Bill Bangert, Sandy Christopher, Joseph Leahy, Mary Jane Elliott, Joe Ebbrecht (knee surgery March 17) and all of those on the prayer chain.

CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES Next week, our parish will take up The Catholic Relief Services Collection. If you do not get envelopes and wish to contribute to this collection use your own envelope marked with your name and CRS.

 

ADULT SUNDAY MORNINGS: "Take a deep breath.  It calms the mind." During this Lent, why not take the opportunity to take a deep breath and join us on a Sunday morning to treasure the Gospel message.  We gather at about 9:30 and our final prayer is about 10:40 at the Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 East Main St.  Entrance is on the side, toward the back, under the small green awning.  Come when you can.

 

THURSDAY MORNING STUDY GROUP meets from 9:45 to 10:45 in the multi-purpose room. We will resume using a video to help us better understand the four Gospel Writers.  Come join us when you can.  You are always welcome.

CEMETERY NOTICE: All grave blankets, wreaths, decorations will be removed from the grave site on March 15. If you wish to keep your decorations or stands please pick them up before March 14. If you have friends with loved ones in the cemetery that do not get this bulletin, please let them know it is time for winter clean-up.

 

SYMPATHY TO: Daniel & Jennifer Wheeling and family. Daniel’s mother, Shirley Stemble, died on February 26. Let us remember her, the family and friends in our prayers.

 

THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE IS SPONSORING: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, March 10 (the second Wednesday night of each month) at 7:35 p.m. and as always with parish events the whole parish is invited.

 

LENTEN FISH FRY: The Knights of Columbus are conducting  their popular annual Lenten Fish Fry on Fridays through the Lenten season until Friday, 26, Mar.’10.  At the Knights of Columbus Hall, on N. Court Street, doors will open at 4:30 P.M. and serving will continue until 7:00 P.M.    Sandwiches and/or takeout orders will be available.

Donations of Baked Goods from parish members are always welcomed.

 

LENTEN SACRIFICES:

FOOD DRIVE  It is that time of year for our annual food drive,  bring your food item and place it up by the old altar and place the tag on the Community Tree. Please bring your food items in by March 21. May God Bless you this Lenten Season.

 

STATIONS OF THE CROSS – Fridays at 7:00 p.m. Followed by Adult Faith Exploration in the church hall. ALL are welcome.

 

PRAY THE ROSARY on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 at the home of Frank and Nancy Plescia, 1826 Pacer Court.  For information or directions, call the Plescia's at 474-5154. Our prime intention is to pray for our parish and include your petitions. 

 

100Th Anniversary: PLEASE NOTE -we are changing the date for our next meeting to March 15 due to the Parish Reconciliation Service on March 8.  So we will gather at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 15 to update our plans for the coming celebration of the June 27 kickoff celebration for our church building's 100 years.

ST. PATRICK/ST. JOSEPH PARTY

Saturday, March 20, in the church hall, after the 5:00 p.m. Mass. We have not had a St. Pat/St. Joe Party for two years(one year it was Easter and last year we had a Parish Mission), we hope you will come this year for good food, fun and fellowship. We will furnish Sloppy Joes, Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Mac & Cheese, Cookies, Brownies and Beverages. A 50/50 Drawing will be held, we will also have Bingo. Bring your board games and come join us. Monetary donations will be accepted to help cover the cost.  

 

FROM THE DIOCESE: COLUMBUS WEST: The Deanery is working to form an employment counseling support group and also work together to fund financial support for catholic education. EAST DEANERY: Eucharistic Minister training was presented by Deacon Martin Davies for the Deanery.  This was a train the trainer program, whereby those trained would repeat the material to their parish ministers.
