Youth Rally: Be Not Afraid to Set the World Ablaze!
You don't want to miss the Diocesan Youth Rally this March, featuring funny man Chris Padgett, Station 14 rocking out, great workshops, an amazing mass, a coffee house, and lots more. BOSCO BASH 2010 | Youth in grades 7 & 8
We’re throwing a party for the Feast of St. John Bosco and YOU’RE invited! Bring a friend and join us for an afternoon of laughs with the Roman Collar Comedy Tour with Father Josh Wagner and Rob Wahl, pizza, fun games, great music by local band Station 14, friends, and an awesome mass, and more!
DATE: January 23, 2010
Location: St. Matthew’s in Gahanna.
Cost: $20 which includes a t-shirt and food.
Time: leave church @ 2:45 p.m. | Return @ 10 p.m.

The Youth Ministry Program offers activities and events for youth in grades 3rd through 12th grade. Every year the Youth Ministry Program is kicked off with a cook-out in August or early September. Program activities offered include events such as horseback riding, canoeing trips, community service projects, fundraising projects, monthly social/spiritual gatherings, and quarterly Youth Praise Masses.
LAMBS OF JESUS is for youth in the 3rd and 4th grade. Group meets three to four times a year to get them involved in Youth Ministry Programs. The meetings are an opportunity for the youth to get to know other youth in our parish and to get to know the Youth Ministry Leadership Team. The meetings are a combination of social gathering and spiritual reflections. One meeting will be a movie night with a short discussion.
FAITH SEEKERS is for youth in the 5th and 6th grade. Group meets three to four times a year to get them involved in Youth Ministry Programs. The Group meets once for a one-day retreat, which involves a community service project, and the other meetings are more of a social gathering and spiritual reflections.
CROSS TRAINERS is for youth in grades 7th through 8th. Group meets every month on a Sunday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. starting in October. The meetings are a combination of a social gathering and spiritual reflections. Involves music, fun and games along with a Bible study. AKA Faith Factor for Cross Trainers.
SOULVIVORS is for youth in grades 9th through 12th. Group meets every month on a Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. starting in October. The meetings are a combination of social gathers and spiritual reflections. Involves music, fun and games along with a Bible Study. AKA Faith Factor for Soulvivors.
Youth in grades 6th – 12th also have the opportunity to attend a mission trip in the summer. Youth in Grades 7-12th attend a Youth Rally. High school is held in March and Junior High is held in January. As well as, prepares and participates in a special Stations of the Cross service on Good Friday for our parish community.
